Three Minute Wonders

Three Minute Wonders are small  documentaries that display a small piece of life into three minutes. I was tasked with finding three documentaries that I liked, and say what I liked about them.
At first glance I disliked many of the documentaries, however I settled on three Karl Pilkington documentaries.

Health

I liked "Health" as it took the form similar to that of popular vlogs on YouTube. This documentary takes on the style similar to Louis Theroux's films. Although Karl is both the filmmaker and interviewee, he has an active presence and makes an otherwise boring and uninteresting subject, engaging and humorous. His viewpoint is ironic and almost sarcastic, and he makes funny points about how we live in contemporary UK society. He talks about exercise routines, as well as healthy living and eating.

Life

In this short documentary, Karl talks about size in relation to other objects as he visits a museum. The filmmaking style is similar to the previous documentary and so is the rhetoric. Karl has an engaging and humorous comedic style, which captivates his audiences as they often find his points of view either funny or infuriating.

Holidays

In another one of his short documentaries, Karl talks about holidays, in particular the activities that he got up to during his holiday, played over bleak, uninspiring images. He takes a negative, critical view of everything which provides engaging to the audience as he provides obscure and sometimes idiotic disagreeable insights into his life.
